사단법인 5·18민주화운동서울기념사업회 홈페이지 방문을 환영합니다.

우리 서울기념사업회는 민주, 인권, 평화, 통일의 기치 아래
대동세상을 실현시키고자 했던
5·18정신을 추모하고 계승하기 위해
기념 및 교육사업을 하고 있습니다.
아울러 지난해 321일 동안의 국회 앞 장기농성을 통해서 얻어낸
‘5.18진상조사위원회’의 출범과
책임자처벌을 요구하며 보여 주었던
우리 회원들의 역량을 다시 한 번 결집하여
확실한 진상규명이 이루어지도록 주어진 소임도 다하겠습니다.

특히 올해는 5·18민중항쟁 제42주년이 되는 해로
‘오월 진실의 힘으로, 시대의 빛으로’ 이라는 주제로
다양한 기념행사가 치러질 예정입니다.
민주시민 여러분들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드립니다.

우리 서울기념사업회는 국내뿐만 아니라
여전히 억압받고 있는 전세계 국가들의 민주화를 위해서도
늘 연대하고 함께 하겠습니다.

저는 목포 사람입니다. 저희 아버지 또한 목포사람입니다. 5.18 민주화 항쟁 당시 저희 아버지는 고등학생이셨습니다. 광주와 정말 가까운 위치임에도 불구하고 저희 아버지는 제대로 밝혀지지 전까지 폭동으로 알고 계셨다고 합니다. 하지만 지금 우리는 폭동이 아닌 것을,우리가 지금 이렇게 살 수 있게 만들어준 것을 인지하고 있기에 잊지 말아야 합니다. 거기선 편히 쉬세요.
