전시 소개

5.18 40주년 '제1회 5.18 3분 영화제' 대상 '경적' (2020년-40주년)

2020년 5.18 민주화운동 40주년을 맞이하여 '5.18 3분영화제 조직위원회'는 5.18 단체, 100여 개의 시민단체와 협력하여 민주/인권/평화/통일을 주제로 제 1회 '5.18 3분영화제'를 개최했다

'5.18 3분영화제 조직위원회'는 '5.18 민주화운동이 젊은 세대들에게는 잊혀져가는 과거의 역사가 되어가는 것이 아닌지 되돌아보고자 했다. 민주화를 위해 광주 시민들이 흘린 피와 희생, 투쟁의 역사는 결코 잊혀져서는 안되기에 디지털 시대에 걸맞게 스마트폰 등을 이용해 누구나 손쉽게 영상을 만들어 함께 공감할 수 있도록 민주, 인권, 평화.통일을 주제로 3분 영화제를 기획하게 되었다'고 그 취지를 설명했다.

3분 영화제 출품작은 극영화, 다큐멘터리, 실험영화, 에니메이션의 구분을 두지 않았으며 3분에서 15분 내외로 민주·인권·평화·통일을 주제로 영화제 개최일 기준 2년 이내 제작된 작품이면 출품이 가능하도록 했다.
